It is definitely time that I start to give myself less slack when it comes to spending, especially on unnecessary out goings. Keeping to a monthly budget and simply keeping track of all my spending would be the best way to start this. I don't really plan on going into a freelance career (at least not when starting out) and so I don't see myself having to be as attentive to my finances as someone that would be in that line of work. However, I now have a bigger drive to be more financially aware and try to limit unnecessary spending.

Cost of Living
Filling out the spreadsheet for the 'Cost of Living Task' was actually quite hard. I've never kept track of my spending as well as I should have, which is definitely something I need to change. I realised this even more when confronted with the costs of food/clothes/cosmetics/alcohol/etc in the spreadsheet; as these are all figures that I could not accurately figure out. I'd assume that the largest chunk of money to currently come out of me annually is toward rent and bills. After university this should no longer be a large expenditure as I plan to move home for a few years whilst I get my self sorted career-wise. In the mean time however it would be incredibly valuable for me to get into a better financial routine prior to flying the nest.
